Winner of ‘Strike! 2018’ Contest

I am one of the winners of the contest for stories that make the difference ‘Strike 2018’ – whose final I took part into yesterday! WhatsApp Image 2018-11-11 at 18.34.22

It’s been an amazing experience, for so many reasons it’s hard to squeeze them up in a single post without being prolix. Suffices to say I got the chance to reflect on myself, on my personal story – how I became a cartoonist – confronting it with 9 other incredible stories, told by excellent and energetic storytellers. Everyone was amazing – the organization, the participants, the public – and I’ve got the sensation this contest will live a long and exciting life!

Here’s the video of the awards ceremony!

“Hanging By a Promise”

“Hanging By a Promise”: A Cartoon About Underage Executions

Would you believe children executions are still on?

According to Human Rights Watch, Iran exectuted 3 children offenders in January 2018. Together with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Yemen, Iran is one of the last countries having promised to stop executing underage inmates and having failed to fullfil such vow. It is also – get this – a state party to the Convention on the Rights of the Child…

Death penalty is shit.
