
Emanuele Del Rosso is an Italian brand and communication specialist, digital marketer, editorial cartoonist and illustrator. He was born in Trento (Italy) in 1986.
He studied modern and contemporary Italian and world literature in Milan and Trento, before graduating in Journalism at the University of Groningen.
At the moment he works freelance with his own company, DelRosso Studio. His main role is Head of Communications with the European Press Prize, and organizer of the European Cartoon Award.
As an editorial cartoonist
Ema publishes his illustrations in several online magazines and newspapers around the world. Among them: The Japan Times, Le Monde, Courrier International, Alternative Economiques, the Swiss daily Le Temps, the Dutch daily Het Financieele Dagblad, the environmental magazine Renewable Matters, and more.
Since 2016, he has been a member of Cartoon Movement, one of the most important publishing platforms for high-quality political cartoons and comics journalism – for which he also works as a freelance social media manager.
In September 2018 he won the second prize in the political cartoons contest ‘Libex 2018’. In the same month, he has also entered the best 100 Dutch cartoons of 2018 list within the ‘Inktspotprijs‘ contest and won the Italian ‘Strike‘ contest for young talents. In September 2019 he won the second prize of the Inktspotprijs 2019.
Since 2021 he has been organizing and overseen, on behalf of the European Press Prize, the cartoons contest European Cartoon Award.
Since October 2020, he has been a member of the French editorial cartoonists association Cartooning for Peace.
His work is distributed internationally by Cartoon Movement, Cartooning for Peace, and CartoonArts International on GoComics.
As a designer and brand specialist
Ema has been working on small design projects since the beginning of his career, and is now offering his knowledge on brand and graphic design to companies that need a do-over or want to strengthen their visual and conceptual image.
His latest project is the development of new brand identity of the Dutch NGO TRY – The Red Yarn.
He is also specializing in brand design, that is, working not only on the visual components that make a brand thrive, but also on teaching companies how to tell their story right, and how to tell it to the right public, at the right time, in the right… you got the concept!
As a digital marketer
Ema’s latest full-time employer was Dashmote, an AI services startup for which he worked as a content marketer. He likes to draw funnels, create appealing content and implement it into digital marketing campaigns that will bring new clients to the companies he collaborates with.
At the moment he works as Head of Communications for the international organization European Press Prize.
